Saskia Rook is of third generation Dutch descent and grew up in Whangārei before moving to Auckland to study Art and Design. She joined the 2005/06 cohort of summer interns at Maxim Institute and went on to join the staff as in-house graphic designer, before setting up her own design business.
Adventures abroad in 2017 resulted in a move to Scotland and a permanent design role at Daysix, a digital design agency, in Edinburgh. Saskia lives near the base of her adopted maunga—Arthur’s Seat—with her husband Josh and their daughter Emma. She finds delight in the beauty of the everyday and the transformative power of good design.
