Cassandra Allpress
Cassandra works as Chaplain at the University of Canterbury and as an Adjunct Lecturer at Laidlaw College. Her faith was a gift received through the community of a small-town Anglican church in Waikanae, where she grew up. On the journey of asking questions about being human and living well she completed a Masters in Psychology, the Venn Residential Fellowship (2018/2019), and now as Postgraduate Diploma in Theology. She is passionate about Christian faith because in it she finds the most compelling and fit-for-purpose account of human flourishing—one that is realistic about the challenges, ambiguities, suffering, wonders and loves that characterise our lives. She lives in Ōtautahi with her husband Nathan. They share a love of swing dancing, organizing events for their local community, and hospitality.
