The Way of Anxiety and The Way of Faith and Hope

By Nathan McLellan >> 1 min read
Arts, Photography, Music

In the midst of difficult times, Jesus counsels his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.”

Like those first disciples, we often find ourselves in difficult circumstances in which our hearts become troubled; anxious about what lies ahead. In this talk, originally given during the morning service at St Paul’s Symonds Street, Nathan McLellan explores what it means to live with untroubled hearts. Drawing on some of his experiences with anxiety, he offers practical suggestions for how we can trust and hope in God when facing difficult circumstances.

Readings for reflection:

Psalm 27
John 14:1-6
